I love looking for inspiration from fellow interior bloggers from around the world, and how they’ve designed their spaces. The monochrome, Scandi trend has gained popularity – mainly for its clean lines and simplicity.
Susanne Dahlström kindly opens up her doors to show just how this is done!
WHO LIVES HERE: Susanne, her husband and their two children.
LOCATION: Sala (100km from Stockholm), Sweden
PROPERTY: New build in 2016, approximately 200 square meters inside, with two floors
My mother was my first influence in my love for interior design. Ever since I was a teenager, I have been finding inspiration everywhere – online, magazines and books.
Every room has the same, white and grey subtle tones. But I do like to switch colours throughout the year to suit the seasons and trends.
My favourite room in the house is the bedroom. I love sleeping in here as it’s so comfy- making it hard to get out of bed in the mornings!
I would say my interior style is stylistically simple and uncluttered. You can see this theme everywhere in my house. I also have a preference for rugs – but on the wall, not the floor!
When buying my decor, I tend to shop online, local stores and second-hand places. My home is constantly changing, and so my budget varies from the expensive to more affordable.
I’m never satisfied with my home style because my interior ideas never stop. But I love it when the results came together!
